PatronScan is an ID scanning technology used by nightclubs across North America. We offer several benefits to club owners, such as the ability to spot fake IDs and keep minors out, add patrons to a Banned Patron List, and spot patrons who have caused trouble at other venues.
As we have received requests for assistance from several police departments, PatronScan now offers public safety police officers access to 3 services, helping police prevent violence, sexual assault, drug trafficking, and gang violence in nightclubs. Please read a brief explanation of the 3 services we offer to law enforcement: Public Safety Link, POI (Persons of Interest), and Nightlife Pulse.
PatronScan provides police officers with a public safety link into the PatronScan system. This allows police officers responding to an incident at a nightclub venue to advance their investigation rapidly, solving more cases quicker.
PatronScan collects identifying information about patrons entering nightclubs, and stores it in our secure database. Upon launching an investigation, a police officer can contact PatronScan and request specific information be made available to them through the public safety link.
E.g. Request information for XS Nightclub patrons entering between 11:00pm July 3rd and 1:30am July 4th.
The information is then made available to the officer in the PatronScan Public Safety Link, allowing them to view live shots captured from a high definition camera of each patron entering the venue, along with a copy of the image from their identification. Police can tag patrons to request more detailed information. This allows police officers to quickly identify potential suspects, victims, and witnesses. Using these images, a photo line-up can be created on the spot to be used for suspect identification.
Request PricingQuickly scan through the patrons entering the venue. Tag the patrons to create a photo line up instantly.
The POI (Persons of Interest) portal is a confidential notification system that helps police keep high risk people out of the nightlife. Public Safety officers with the Police can enter the identification of high risk people, such as gang members, violent offenders, drug dealers, sexual assault perpetrators, etc. into the POI portal. If one of these individuals, who has been given instruction not to enter nightclubs, enters a nightclub and has their ID scanned with PatronScan, then a text message notification is sent to the Public Safety Police Officer, notifying them of their location. An email is also sent, including the location, the time they entered, their first and last name, a high definition image of the person entering the venue, and a copy of the image from their identification.
This allows the police to enter the club, locate the individual, and remove them from the nightclub without involving the nightclub staff. When the high risk patron is scanned in, the scan will not show a ban, so as to avoid any altercation with venue staff.
Request PricingNightlife Pulse keeps police officers informed of the nightlife in their city. Police officers can receive SMS text message updates, or email updates, that tell them the current occupancy levels of each club using PatronScan ID scanners in their city. These updates are sent out hourly, Friday to Sunday each week, from 7 PM until 1 AM the following day.
This makes it easy to understand how many patrons are enjoying the nightlife, and where the patrons are concentrated, so that resources can be deployed effectively.
Request Pricing“ID Scanners have changed the way we do business in Edmonton and have also been crucial for deterring nightlife violence and various incidents that are common within the industry. I highly recommend everyone taking a look at a system with a connected network like this.
They have several features, but the scan history on their online web portal is a great investigative tool. This helps with an investigation as we have a ton of data on the patrons that night and can provide that extra bit of evidence to charge someone.
The POI (Persons of Interest) system allows us to enter gang members & dangerous criminals on a web portal, and we receive a notification anytime they scan in at a venue. This allows us to go in and remove that person which serves as an awesome public safety tool.”
